STORY SYNOPSIS
A young filmmaker, Niti, arrives in rural Assam to document the life of Prachir, a lawyer and social worker who has devoted himself to understanding the fractures within human relationships.
As the days pass, the boundaries between observer and subject begin to dissolve. Prachir’s difficult childhood and failed marriage reflect Niti’s own pain of growing up without her father, who left when she was four.
The old house, the forest, the river and the people around her slowly become fragments of another landscape, where memories surface as dreams and the past refuses to remain buried. In these dreamlike passages, Niti finds herself moving through an infinite corridor towards a childhood she can neither recover nor escape.
What begins as a documentary about another man’s life gradually turns into an inward journey. Between memory and imagination, Niti confronts the father she lost, the mother who shaped her understanding of that loss, and the possibility that some wounds are inherited rather than understood.
By the time she leaves Prachir’s home, nothing in her past has changed. Yet, somewhere between dreaming and remembering, she has begun to see it differently.
